Honey Dijon releases video for new single, 'It's Quiet Now': Watch

Honey Dijon has shared a video for her latest single, 'It's Quiet Now' featuring Dope Earth Alien. It arrives on the same day as the release of her new album, 'Black Girl Magic'. Watch the video and hear the full album below.

The video was directed by Los Angeles vocalist, songwriter and visual artist, Cor.ece, and stars Clare Riché and Brandon Lucas. The narrative seeks to demonstrate the experiences of trans women, conveyed through intimate and emotional performances by its protagonists in the moments unfolding on screen.

“What was most important for me about directing ‘It’s Quiet Now’ was making sure I told a story that was not only revealing and raw, but also empowering for the protagonist at the centre. We get to witness peace that is earned — and fought for. I don’t think we can see enough depictions of real self-love," said Cor.ece.

"‘It’s Quiet Now’ is already one of those special tracks that is not only seductive for the dancefloor, but it tells a story. Honey and I wanted to bring this story to life. In three minutes, we get a full arc from pain to romance to true liberation."

'Black Girl Magic' features 15 tracks and an array of guests, with Mike Dunn, Josh Caffe, Pabllo Vittar, Channel Tres and EVE all credited on the tracklist. Previous singles include 'Work', 'Love Is A State of Mind', and 'Not About You'.
