HUDSON MOHAWK SHARES VIDEO FOR NEW TRACK, ‘PLAY N GO’
It’s taken from his soundtrack to upcoming video game Watch_Dogs 2...
We assume Hudson Mohawke is a keen gamer since the well-loved producer has penned the complete original soundtrack to Ubisoft’s upcoming adventure game, Watch_Dogs 2.
The first cut from the soundtrack dropped in October, and now the producer's label, Warp, have shared the second track titled 'Play N Go'.
On the new track, Hudson Mohawke aka Ross Birchard, said: “With 'Play n Go', I really wanted to create something that could be both big and anthemic but also strips back to some tough, driving percussion at points.
“I feel like both these motifs are reflections of the gameplay also; whether you want to go in all guns blazing or play in a more tense, stealthy style. Above all, I really wanted to keep the rebellious nature of the game within the track, crunchy DIY sounding with a victorious kind of cheeky undertone.”
Set in San Francisco, Watch_Dogs 2 follows the tale of a talented computer hacker who's on a mission to save the human race from mind-controlling technology.
Earlier this year Birchard threatened to release a zip folder of unreleased tracks he made for Kanye West and Drake because he’d not been paid for his work.
