Hyperdub to release new collaborative EP from KG and Scratchclart

Listen to the title track, 'Touch', now...

KG and Scratchclart (fka Scratcha DVA) have come together for a four-track EP on London label Hyperdub.

'Touch', landing this Friday (12th), is a fusion of UK funky and the increasingly popular, percussive sound of South African gqom.

The 'Touch' EP is Hyperdub mainstay Scratchclart's fourth release this year and will be KG's debut on the imprint following her 2018 'Goon Club Allstars' EP, joining the likes of Burial, DJ Lag and Ikonika.

The EP is a melting pot of musical influences. Where title track 'Touch' melds acoustic flute, light drums and airy vocals for a smooth sonic experience, tracks like 'Baga Drmz' drag the listener back into the darker club atmosphere, with gqom-inspired drums and stuttering vocal chops.

Last month, Hyperdub announced spoken word sub-label, Flatlines.

Burial released his first solo material since 2017 in June via Hyperdub with the 'Claustro / State Forest' EP.
