I.JORDAN releases new double single, 'Hey Baby / I Had The Best of Times', on Ninja Tune: Listen
A "fun club track that doesn't take itself seriously" and a more reflective cut
I.JORDAN has dropped a new double single for Ninja Tune, 'Hey Baby / 'I Had The Best of Times'. Listen to it below.
The release is part of a series of paired singles from Jordan and follows June's 'Always Been' / 'First Time Back', which was their first solo release since the release of their critically acclaimed 2021 EP 'Watch Out!’.
“'Hey Baby' is a fun club track that doesn't take itself seriously! I've been playing it in clubs and festivals for the last year and it's always gone down a treat” said Jordan of the new release.
'I Had the Best of Times' offers a downtempo counterpoint to 'Hey Baby's high-energy sugar rush. The track was made "during a reflective time over the Christmas holidays just over a year ago", notes Jordan, describing it as "the calming balance to Hey Baby”.
Earlier this year JORDAN shared a collaborative single with Fred again... ‘Admit It (U Don’t Want 2)’, which samples Ariana Grande's 'ghostin'.
