PRS Music and DJ Mag present six-part ‘Intro to the Business of Dance Music’ event series

PRS for Music and DJ Mag present INSIGHT, a six-part panel series that starts on Tuesday 3rd October.
The panels, that will take place on the first Tuesday of every month between October and May, aim to provide electronic music creators with information they need to make headway in the industry.
Topics range from knowing how to form a strong team around you, to building a fan base and making money. Each panel will see a range of top experts share skills and knowledge to help music creators develop their careers.
The INSIGHT series will be held at DJ Mag HQ and streamed on our Facebook page.
INSIGHT kicks off with ‘An Intro to the Business of Dance Music’, an introduction to copyright, royalties and how to protect your music rights.
DJ, producer and music lawyer Judge Jules will be at the event to answer a wide range of questions on the subject matter.
Other topics are set to include advice on the different organisations artists need to work with to make the right decisions and get the most out of their music; marketing and promotion; mental health and diversity; and an in-depth look into music recognition technology.
