The island used in Fyre Festival’s promotional video is up for sale

A bargain at $11.8 million dollars...

The private Bahamas island used in Fyre Festival's promotional video is up for sale.

Posted by Bahamas real estate agents HG Christie, Saddleback Cay, which makes up part of the Exumas, has been listed for $11.8 million dollars.

In 2017, Fyre Festival promoted Saddleback Cay as an island once owned by Pablo Escobar and the location for their luxury festival.

The festival's promotional video featured a flurry of instagram models, including Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner, and promised the best in music, art and food on the private and secluded island.

What ensued was of course the facepalm festival of the century, with party-goers who paid thousands of dollars for tickets left stranded on another private island in the Bahamas, with prepackaged sandwiches, refugee-grade tents and no artists booked to perform.

Billy McFarland, Fyre Festival co-organiser alongside Ja Rule, was ordered to pay $3 million dollars to former investors in Feburary this year.

VestiVille, which was due to take place in Belgium last weekend, has been compared to Fyre Festival after attendees were greeted with an empty festival site.
