James Hype releases new single, ‘Lose Control’: Listen
The drop comes ahead of his set at EDC Las Vegas later this month
James Hype has returned to the Insomniac Records imprint with a new single, titled ‘Lose Control’. Listen to it below.
Dusting off an R&B vocal from SWV’s 1997 hit ‘Rain’, the track is a club-ready combo of the upbeat house rhythms and relentless percussive drops that the Merseyside producer has become known for.
‘Lose Control’ chases up last year’s platinum single ‘Ferrari’, released via Island Records and Cross Records, and featuring Filipino vocalist and producer, Miggy Dela Rosa.
In 2021, Hype partnered up with Vintage Culture – who was voted 11th on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll last year – on their massive collab, ‘You Give Me A Feeling’. The follow-up single offering arrives just in time ahead of Hype’s set at EDC Las Vegas later this month.
Around this time, Hype also featured on the How I DJ series, powered by Pioneer DJ, sharing tips on creatively using EQ and mixing on four decks.
