JME is bringing Grime MC FM to Lovebox and Parklife this summer

Harking back to the scene's formative years, so communuty spirit and sweaty vibes

JME is bringing Grime MC FM to Lovebox and Parklife festivals this summer.

The legendary London MC, co-founder of the Boy Better Know label, released his first solo album in over four years, 'Grime MC', in November last year. Grime MC FM is the associated live project, which looks to recapture the scene's original vibe.

According to a press release, the concept "harks back to the days of community and sweat-soaked rooms, the format reminding fans of the spontaneous and unrestricted spirt that sets grime apart as a movement."

Or, to put all that another way, JME invites a host of the genre's emergents and stars to join him for one massive celebration of this uniquely British sound. Attendees at London's Lovebox (who also get Disclosure live) and Parklife in Manchester — both of which take place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 14th June 2020 — will have an opportunity to experience the showcase for themselves.
