John Talabot and Arnau Obiols announce album as Mioclono on Hivern Discs

John Talabot and Velmondo have combined on a new collaborative project, Mioclono.

Their debut album together, 'Cluster I', is set to be released through Hivern Discs on 17th February. The two have been working on music since the end of 2016, when they first got together at Barcelona's Angel Sound Studios.

The recording sessions became a tradition at the end of each following year, according to a press release. 'Cluster I' is the product of those first recording sessions, with the music they worked on having been progressively overdubbed by the two artists in the time since.

The collaborative project's name, Mioclone, is derived from the Spanish for myoclonus, a term that is defined as a brief involuntary twitching or jerking of a muscle or group of muscles that people who suffer from epilepsy may experience. Both artists have been diagnosed with epilepsy and have experienced myoclonus as a result.

You can listen to the new album's lead tracks, 'Pell De Serp' and 'Disobedience', below. The latter features a reading of Aleister Crowley's poem 'Ahran'.
