Joy Orbison will digitally release his back catalogue on Friday.

Sharing the news via social media, the DJ/producer - AKA Peter O’Grady - announced that making his music available online was something he had been considering for some time. "This is something i’ve meant to do for years so I’m feeling weirdly excited," he cited in a post on Instagram. "In the past I think I may have given the impression that I was somewhat wilfully obscure with the way I released my music. I think I’ve just focused on what I thought made most sense with the music I was making and how I engaged with the culture."

The back catalogue will be available via major streaming platforms from this Friday (20th).

ello ello, just a quick word (and an emo picture) to say my back catalogue will be available on all major streaming/digital platforms for the first time this Friday. this is something i’ve meant to do for years so i’m feeling weirdly excited. in the past i think i may have given the impression that i was somewhat wilfully obscure with the way I released my music. i think I’ve just focused on what i thought made most sense with the music i was making and how i engaged with the culture. over the years that’s actually changed a fair bit and I’ve got a load of new music on the way so it felt like a good time to get my shit together. also, thank you to everyone who’s come to a party, listened to my music or even just stayed on the floor when they’ve seen my potato head in the booth. hyph came out ten years ago now and it feels mad (but amazing) that i’m still able to do this. x pete (photo @williamaspden)
