Kaytranada teases another new album to land “in a couple of months”

The news follows on from the release last week of his latest album, 'BUBBA'

Having only just released his second studio album, 'BUBBA', last week, Kaytranada has started dropping hints that another extended release is in the pipeline.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1, he said that he'd already finished another album and hopes to release it sometime in early 2020.

“There’s just so many tracks that just didn’t make [‘BUBBA’]," he told Zane Lowe." I intended to put out in two parts.

“I’m definitely going to do something kind of different on the next one. Because it’s like, there was a lot of rappers: I have this song with Anderson .Paak that didn’t make the album, it’s really a good one. It has this sample I have to clear, and it just sucks, man. Sampling is my sound, like my main sound.”

He said that the new record will be made up of various instrumentals he's finished recently, as well as tracks that didn't make it onto 'BUBBA' for various reasons. In addition to that, he hopes to release an album solely focused on instrumentals sometime after the follow-up to 'BUBBA'.

'BUBBA' itself follows on from the VanJess-featuring single 'Dysfunctional' which Kaytranada released in April of this year.
