Detroit techno legends Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Derrick May will embark on a DJ tour under the new moniker, The Belleville Three.

The name originates from Belleville High School which all three techno icons attended during their formative years.

Speaking to Billboard Magazine, Kevin Saunderson said the trio hopes one day to expand into a full live show where they'll recreate their iconic tracks in a live setting at clubs and theatres.

"Right now it's a DJ tour, some electronic drum machines involved but nothing major," explained Saunderson.

"Our goal is to evolve to a complete live show and not just do festivals but do theatres around the world where people get to experience us playing our music live, with the whole visuals and impact of our vision of how we want to be seen or portrayed."

The trio will play this month's Movement festival in Detroit which will be their second ever show.

"It's our second show, so it' not like we've done it so many times. We're still learning each other and how to play with each other. At the same time, you have magical moments within it that we look forward to between us and between us and the crowd," explained Saunderson.
