Kode9, Suzanne Ciani, more locked for Semibreve Festival 2019

This year marks the 9th edition of the festival...

Semibreve has finalised the line-up for this year's installment of the festival.

Joining previously announced artists Avalon Emerson, Planet Mu affiliate Rian Treanor and Nik Void, Hypderdub label founder Kode9 will make his Semibreve debut at this year’s festival, alongside grammy-award winning composer and electronic pioneer Suzanne Cianni.

Running from 27th to 29th October, Semibreve Festival takes place across the Portugese city of Braga, at venues such as church Capela da Imaculada Conceição, Theatro Circo, Arts Complex GNRation and Centésima Página.

The festival is set to run a program of workshops, talks and exhibitions, with music and live performances from a variety of selectors and creatives.

California Institute of the Arts co-founder Morton Subotnick will also count this year's festival as his first Semibreve appearance, accompanied by visuals from German artist Lillevan, as well as a world premiere from Oren Ambarchi & Robert Aiki Aubrey.

Berlin Atonal and Unsound Festival both announced new line-up additions this week.
