KOMA ELEKTRONIK TO LAUNCH NEW FIELD KIT RECORDER IN EARLY 2017

Amplify ordinary objects to use in your tracks...

Found sounds is a term that's got a lot of airing throughout 2016 and refers to the process of producers capturing sounds from the world around them. Berlin-based company KOMA Elektronik are looking to release a new instrument that will aid in this type of music creation, with their new Field Kit.

Originally funded via a Kickstarter campaign, the company have smashed their target and the new Kit will be on sale early 2017

The Field Kit is comprised of a set of receivers, essentially microphones, contact microphones and electro-magnetic pick-ups that capture the sound, which can then be routed into one of four inputs, each with a gain, tone and mix level meaning users can adjust the essential parameters of the unit.

Koma also supply a manual, titled 50 Ways To Use The Field Kit, that will be shipped with every unit, showing you how to make different sensors and input sources for your Field Kit for ultimate experimentation.
