Korg announces 15th anniversary edition microKORG synthesizer

The portable synth gets a makeover...

Korg is celebrating the 15th anniversary of their flagship portable synthesizer by releasing a special anniversary edition microKORG.

It features a platinum front panel, black wood side panels and black knobs. It will be available this summer for £329.

Since its release in 2002, the microKORG has long been the entry synth for musicians wanting to try their hands at synthesis without shelling out big bucks. Despite its modest price tag, notable musicians from Outkast to Trentemöller have used the synth.

If you’re looking for something analogue without breaking the bank, check out Korg’s recent reissue of the Arp Odyssey and their new monophonic analogue synth, the Monologue.
