Learn how to get into radio with Jamz Supernova, NAINA and Jaguar in DJ Mag live workshop

There will also be a live Q&A as part of the workshop

Jamz Supernova, NAINA and Jaguar will take part in a DJ Mag live workshop on Instagram next week.

On Tuesday next week (13th), BBC Radio 1Xtra and Selector Radio resident Jamz Supernova, Brixton's Apple Music and Reprezent presenter NAINA, and BBC Introducing's Jaguar, will join DJ Mag's features editor Lauren Martin in an Instagram Live Room to talk all things broadcasting.

From 6pm to 7pm, the three hosts will be discussing their experience of breaking into radio, how you can do the same, and tips on improving your radio show, as well as taking part in a live Q&A at the end of the workshop.

You can join the workshop via the DJ Mag Instagram account on Tuesday 13th April at 6PM.

Jamz Supernova is spearheading the next generation of radio DJs with her residencies on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Selector Radio. While equally at home behind the decks in a club, she’s used her time in lockdown to bolster her Future Bounce label and perfect her radio shows, recording podcasts and voiceovers and helming TV docs along the way. It’s a career that Jamz seems born to do, but it hasn’t always been plain sailing for her — or happened overnight. For Jamz's DJ Mag cover feature earlier this year, Chal Ravens took a (socially distanced) stroll in south London with the charming host to discuss her rise through the radio ranks, and finding her place as a club DJ.

With infectious energy, NAINA scours the underground, looking for new music. It’s what drives the London-based DJ, radio presenter and co-founder of emerging label Hooversound. Whether it’s showcasing her love of R&B, garage house or rave-ready sets, she has cemented herself as a mainstay in the UK club scene, a journey that’s been in the making for decades. Jaguar is the DJ and presenter at the helm of the BBC Introducing Dance show, giving first plays to many up-and-coming producers from around the UK. In a recent feature for DJ Mag, she spoke about what new artists need to do to get a play on national radio, and how she wants to use her position to represent and uplift POC, LGBTQIA+, women and non-binary people in the dance music arena.
