LISTEN TO HODGE’S HEAVYWEIGHT REMIX OF LO SHEA’S ‘PRIMITIVE OPERATIONS’

The Bristol-based producer’s rework lands next week as part of Hope Works’ three-tracker, ‘Modulate’...

Lo Shea returns to his Hope Works label for the second time in 2016 next week (Monday 24th October) with his ‘Modulate’ EP. Bristol pioneer Hodge has turned in a remix of ‘Primitive Operations’ as part of the packet, and we’ve got the exclusive premiere of it below.

The remix from the Berceuse Heroique and Livity Sound man is heavyweight yet emotive, with big echoing harmonies floating above firmly rooted drums.

Sheffield artist and label boss Lo Shea is at the heart of the northern techno scene in terms of his DJ and studio output, but also as musical director at Hope Works. The raw warehouse venue is a hive of creativity thanks to its forward thinking parties, and the in house label is much the same.

Speaking about the venue, Hodge told DJ Mag, “I just played at Hope Work's fourth birthday, it's a seriously good club. The sound's on point and every time I've been there the crowd is super positive and always having fun. In a time where clubs in the UK are dealing with huge amounts of pressure, it's nice to see one of the goodens thriving."

Listen to the exclusive premiere of Lo Shea’s ‘Primitive Operations (Hodge remix)’ below.
