Ralph Lawson's 20/20 Vision imprint launches a brand new vinyl series this month, kicking off with four tracks of glutinous acid from Photonz.
'Negative Cities Pt.1' finds the Portuguese producer on top form, delivering cuts that range from foot-stomping techno to moody groovers, all tied together with warped, snarling analogue synthwork. Our premiere today, EP opener 'Astral Acid', is entrancing and richly textured, making for a heady dancefloor roller.
With just over a decade of releases under his belt, Photonz's studio work continues to go from strength to strength, with this latest effort adding to a solid discography that includes work for Unknown To The Unknown, Crème Organization and Hot Haus.
