London venue KOKO damaged by fire
60 firefighters tackled the fire at the Camden venue on 6th January

Prominent north London music venue Koko caught fire on Monday night (6th January).
As reported by The Metro, London Fire Brigade was called to the long-standing Camden venue at 8.56pm, with 30% of the building’s roof having reportedly been caught in the blaze.
London Fire Brigade tweeted, "We’ve got eight fire engines & around 60 firefighters tackling a visible blaze on #Camden High Street. Please avoid the area if possible."
The venue, which first opened in 1900, had been closed for refurbishment since March 2019, and was set to re-open in March 2020.
The blaze was reportedly brought under control by 2 37 AM on Tuesday morning. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
