London’s Giant Steps is closing in September
The venue first opened in 2018

East London's Giant Steps venue will close in September.
Giant Steps, a travelling sound system collaboration between London venue Brilliant Corners and Analogue Foundation that premiered at Farr Festival in 2017, have been residents at Swan Wharf, a Victorian warehouse complex on the canal in Hackney Wick, since May 2018.
Since opening, performances at Giant Steps have come courtesy of Antal, Andrew Weatherall, Mr G, Peggy Gou and Young Marco, with the remaining parties scheduled until the 21st of September at Swan Wharf.
"We’re sad to announce that Giant Steps will be closing its doors at Swan Wharf in Hackney Wick at the end of September," Giant Steps shared in a post on Instagram. "We always knew our time here was temporary and we’re grateful to have had all the good times we did. Thanks to all the staff, DJs, musicians, chefs and everyone who came down over the last two years. Giant Steps is a travelling sound system and will continue its journey".
The remaining eight dates scheduled at the canal-side venue will feature Hunee, who returns for a final performance at Giant Steps, Jon K, Mr Scruff, as well as parties from Tutto, Heavy Disco and Peckham's Rhythm Section.
A new 300-capacity venue, Colours, will open in Hoxton Square in September.
