Mad Decent Block Party will only have two stops in 2017

Colorado and their hometown Philadelphia...

Mad Decent Block Party is celebrating the 10th anniversary this summer, but maybe not in the way you’d expect.

The 2017 edition of the touring pop-up festival will be limited to two stops, one in Philadelphia on Friday 7th July and the other in Colorado on Sunday 3rd September.

As a result of an oversaturated market, the organisers are pulling back considerably from their 15-tour run in 2016.

In a recent Instagram post, Mad Decent said, “Due to the overwhelming amount of festivals and dance events that now exist, talent and venues are limited for an event that is meant to be affordable to the masses.

“Because we only want to deliver a quality experience in a few markets this year, we have chosen to dial back Mad Decent Block Party to Philly and Denver for two special 10th anniversary events.”
