Madison Avenue’s ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’ 20th anniversary edition to land this week

The '90s club classic has been remixed by Mousse T

Madison Avenue's 'Don't Call Me Baby' is a classic, an after party staple, and this year, it's 20 years old.

Originally released in 1999, 'Don't Call Me Baby' was the hit that turned Australian dance music duo Madison Avenue (producer and DJ Andy Van and singer and lyricist Cheyne Coates) into chart-topping stars. In the early 2000s, the track topped the Billboard charts across the UK, Europe and the US.

In the time since 'Don't Call Me Baby', which to date has sold over a million copies, Andy Van has established himself as one of Australia's most reputable DJs and producers, working with the likes of Avicci, Dirty South and Angger Dimas. Now Van turns to his own work, delivering a fresh remix of 'Don't Call Me Baby' remix under his new Super Disco Club alias, in celebration of 20 years since his smash hit with Cheyne Coates.

As well as the Super Disco Club remix, the legendary Defected affiliate Mousse T (of 'Horny' fame) has remixed 'Don't Call Me Baby' too, a vibrant take on the track that retains its original groove, with a distinctive Mousse T-flavoured twist.

The 20th anniversary edition of 'Don't Call Me Baby' is out via Vicious Recordings this Friday 15th November.
