Major Lazer announce hurricane benefit concert: Relief is the Mission

The invite remains open for other artists to join…

Major Lazer have announced a Monday 16th October benefit concert, dubbed ‘Relief is the Mission’, in aid of those affected by Hurricane Irma and Maria. The event will take place at Mana Wynwood in Miami, Florida.

In an effort to help the residents of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands rebound from the natural disaster, Tory Lanez, Machel Montano and Bad Bunny have offered their talents to the benefit event. The collective urge others to join.

What So Not and Party Favor did show their support socially, but no additional artists have been officially announced.

Major Lazer promises 100% of the proceeds will be directed to response groups including ComPRometidos, Global Giving, and Save the Children.

Tickets for the event range from $20 to $100. They are available here.

The philanthropic effort is nothing new for Diplo. He donated $100,000 to the victims of the Las Vegas shooting after that recent US tragedy.
