Man dies following ‘medical emergency’ at Lollapalooza

 His cause of death has not yet been revealed

A man has died following a "medical emergency" at Lollapalooza.

On Saturday 3rd August, the 24-year-old festival attendee was rushed to hospital, where he later passed away. His cause of death has not yet been revealed.

In a statement, the Office of Emergency Management and Communications said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this difficult time."

Lollapalooza is a four-day annual music festival that has been hosted in Chicago's Grant Park since 2005. This year's festival featured performances from Alesso, Flume, Fisher, Lane 8 and San Holo. Other editions of the festival have taken place in Berlin, Buenos Aires, Paris and Stockholm.

At the 2018 Chicago Lollapalooza, a 16-year-old died after being found unresponsive and over 200 people were admitted to hospital.
