Geoff Kirkwood, aka Man Power, has unveiled a new EP, ‘Wallsend's Finest’, on Jordan Nocturne's label. Listen below.

The two-track release from the Newcastle DJ, producer and founder of the Me Me Me label comprises "a gnarly acid workout" on ‘Overbite’ and "a percussive 4/4 beast with a refreshing nod to a classic" on ‘Full Body Gurn’.

This new release follows the 2022 EP 'Closing The Loop' for Throne of Blood. Last year also saw the debut performance of Kirkwood's Orchestral Symphony with Royal Northern Sinfonia. He was also nominated in DJ Mag’s Underground Hero category a the 2022 Best of British awards.

Kirkwood is also running an event series called Are You Affiliated? at the King Street Social club in North Shields and will go B2B with Special Request on 25th February, with Sean Johston on 30th April as well as hosting a live set from Rex The Dog on 5th August. Man Power will also play a B2B set with Artwork on 2nd December as part of the same series. DJ Megan Leo (Are You Affiliated) will also play the April, August and December editions of the series, joined by Ben Caldwell at the second of those.Check out the flyer via Instagram below.

"The parties we do there directly contribute to its ongoing survival as a working class community space, and we're really proud to be able to do that," says Kirkwood. "North Shields is a post-industrial down with high levels of poverty, so we're also happy to be able to help to grow the cultural offering in an authentic and sincere way, and to be able be part of hopefully reversing the fortunes of the town.
