Carl Cox and Martin Garrix’s documentary, What We Started, will arrive in theatres on 23rd March and will be available on Netflix from June. You can watch a clip from it below

The film, which premiered last June at the Los Angeles Film Festival, is centered largely around the immensely successful EDM star Garrix as well as the legendary Cox. It documents the ever-changing culture of dance music over the course of three decades and features interviews with some of the most widely known names in the industry, from David Guetta, Richie Hawtin and Paul Oakenfold to one particularly seering take from Seth Troxler. 

What We Started is written, produced and directed by Bert Marcus and Cyrus Saidi, with additional production work from Cassandra Hamar.

The announcement that the film would be hitting select theatres in March came from the dedicated Martin Garrix news source @TheMartinGarrixHub via Instagram. 2017 was yet another huge year for the 21-year-old Dutch superstar who retained his leading position at number one of the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll, became the face of Armani Exchange eyewhere, was named one of GQ's Most Inspirational Men, collaborated with David Guetta, released music under his new moniker YTRAM and curated the STMPD Records stage at at Tomorrowland.
