MARTIN GARRIX IS SUING HIS EX-MANAGER

Dutch artist is taking Spinnin’ Records employee to court

After his split with Spinnin’ Records following a disagreement over ownership rights to his music, Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix is going one step further by taking former manager Eelko van Kooten to court.

‘Animals’ producer Garrix, who came in at number three in our Top 100 DJs poll, has filed a lawsuit against Van Kooten and the record label after a ‘violent argument’ transpired.

The 19-year-old producer states that he was deliberately provided with “false and misleading information” when being signed to the label and management company. The contract was inked when Garrix was 17.

Both representatives for each party have refused to comment on the situation.
