Martin Garrix: ‘There are no rules or restrictions to my music now’

The Dutch DJ Mag Top 100 DJs winner opens up about running his STMPD label...

Martin Garrix has opened up about the freedom that running his own STMPD label gives him in the studio.

Speaking in a brand new interview with fuse.tv, Garrix said, “I’m having so much fun in the studio. I launched my own label so now when I go in the studio I do whatever I feel like doing.

“There are no rules and no restrictions and to me that’s the best feeling. I can’t wait to get really exciting songwriters in the studio with artists that I love and want to build.”

Garrix also dropped a remix of his Dua Lipa collaboration, ‘Scared To Be Lonely’, during a set in Amsterdam earlier this week. You can listen to it below.

There is no official word on who is responsible for the remix as yet, but YouTube channel ID Music lists it as the “Martin Garrix & Brooks remix”.

Yesterday (Wednesday 22nd February), Garrix also revealed how he is able to play his Las Vegas residency despite being below the legal US drinking age of 21.
