Martin Garrix turned away from nightclub for not meeting dress code

Even the Top 100 DJs No. 1 can have trouble on the door it seems...

Martin Garrix has revealed that he was recently turned away from a Scottish nightclub for not meeting its dress code.

In a new interview about filming the video for his Dua Lipa collaboration, ‘Scared To Be Lonely’, the 2016 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs winner revealed that the unfortunate incident occurred during a break in shooting.

"We shot it in Scotland, in Dumfries” Garrix told MTV UK. “And Calvin Harris is from there so I asked him, 'Where can I go out in Dumfries?' and he was like, 'Don't go out there!' But we found a good spot and we partied so it was good.

"Oh and I didn't get into the first club actually 'cause I was wearing jogging pants so we went to the place next door!”

Last month (February), Garrix revealed how he is able to play his Las Vegas residency despite being below the legal US drinking age of 21

Garrix also recently opened up about the freedom that running his own STMPD label gives him in the studio.
