Massive Attack have announced a 21st anniversary tour for their seminal 1998 album ‘Mezzanine’.

The audiovisual tour, ‘Mezzanine XX1’, will feature collaborators such as Cocteau Twins’ Elisabeth Fraser and stage design by the band’s own Robert Del Naja.

According to an official  statement announcing the tour, the show will see the legendary trip-hop record reimagined "using custom audio reconstructed from the original samples and influences"

"It's going to be a one off piece of work; our own personalised nostalgia nightmare head trip," Del Naja said of the show.

The tour commences in late January 2019 and will see the band playing shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow and their native Bristol before setting off across Europe for a string of dates. Full tour details can be seen here.

Presale tickets will be available for selected shows from 10 am tomorrow 31st October while tickets will go on general sale on Friday 2nd November at 10 am.

Next month, Massive Attack will release a special remastered version of ‘Mezzanine’ to mark its anniversary.
