Massive Attack announce special edition remaster of trip-hop masterpiece, ‘Mezzanine’

Complete with heat-sensitive box and three pieces of coloured vinyl...

20 years ago in April, trip-hop pioneers Massive Attack dropped one of their most celebrated albums 'Mezzanine'.

Storming its way to No. 1 on the UK Album Charts, the record cemented itself as one of the '90s most boundary-breaking pieces of music and is considered one of the band's greatest achievements to date.

Now, the group are honouring its 20th anniversary with a special edition remaster stuffed with extra bonus goodies.

According to an announcement, the new reissue will consist of: a specially designed heat sensitive box, a book featuring exclusive images by Robert Del Naja and Nick Knight, three pieces of coloured vinyl including the remastered version of 'Mezzanine' and previously unheard Mad Professor remixes from the original 1998 sessions.

A 2xCD version will also include the Mad Professor remixes and will come as a reproduction of the original 'Mezzanine' digipack.

The 'Mezzanine' boxset will be available to pre-order here and will begin shipping next month.
