BBC 6 Music has just announced the shortlist of the Mercury Prize nominees.

Here's the list of albums that are in the running for the coveted award:

Jamie xx 'In Colour'
SOAK 'Before We Forgot How To Dream'
Gaz Coombes 'Matador'
Slaves 'Are You Satisfied?'

So far, so good for dance music, with Róisín Murphy, Aphex and Jamie xx all in the running. Last year we awarded Aphex the Outstanding Contribution prize at the DJ Mag Best of British awards.
