Midland shares unreleased track, ‘Beyond This’, for charity: Listen

The track notably featured in his 2018 Boiler Room set at AVA festival

Midland has shared a previously unreleased track called 'Beyond This' via Bandcamp.

The track notably featured in the DJ's Boiler Room set at last year's edition of AVA festival, and became the source of numerous track ID request following the stream.

All proceeds from the sale of the track will be donated to The Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that helps LGBTQI+ teenagers who are homeless or living in hostile environments, The Trussell Trust, who support food banks around the UK, and Help Refugees, who share funds to refugee organisations around the world.

"Since the UK election result I have been thinking about ways that we can start to self organise and fundraise to support the charities and organisations that work with the people directly affected by austerity cuts and people at risk in our country and further afield," Midland says of his aims in releasing 'Beyond This'. "This track is something I made in 2017 for my FabricLive mix which never made it on there. I ended up putting it in my AVA Boiler Room by chance (in the car on the way to the set) and since then have had a bunch of messages about it. I never really knew what form to release it in but this felt like the perfect opportunity to raise some money and start taking action."

You can purchase and listen to the track here.

Midland will play at Berghain's massive Silvester party over the new year period. The release of 'Beyond This' follows on from 'The Alchemy of Circumstance', his first EP in three years, which came out in October.
