Motor City Drum Ensemble is XOYO London's next resident

He'll take over for 10 weeks from October to December...

XOYO London's next resident has been revealed as Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble today (Monday 21st August), with the German disco selector set to take over on Fridays from October to December.

MCDE is set to replace Erol Alkan's To The Rhythm party on 13th October as the fourth DJ in XOYO's long-running residency series that sees a different DJ take over the club for three consecutive months on Friday nights, whilst inviting special guests to join them in the booth each week.

"Very happy to announce that from October through December, i'll be doing a weekly residency over at XOYO in London," MCDE said via a press release from the popular Shoreditch-based nightclub.

"It's been literally a decade since I've had a regular weekly spot at a club and it feels great to be back, doing what I did for most of my early career. I now have the opportunity to not only play peak time, but also the warm-up set. It's kind of surreal and I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to see how things have changed over the course of these past years."

MCDE joins acts like Heidi, Jackmaster, Eats Everything, The 2 Bears, Andy C, The Black Madonna and many more as part of XOYO's ongoing series, with the full line-up of special guests set to drop in early September.

More tickets and information can be found via the XOYO website.
