UPDATE: We are live blogging updates following the reported shootings at The BPM Festival.

The BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico has been hit by tragedy as multiple people have been reported dead and many more injured after shots were fired during the Elrow closing party at Blue Parrot in the early hours of this morning (Monday 16th January).

According to early reports, four to five people are dead, including a security guard, whilst secondary reports are also coming in that more shots were fired at The Jungle venue, where another closing party was occurring at The BPM Festival.

Speaking about the incident, Jackmaster tweeted, “Someone has come into the club in Playa Del Carmen and opened fire. 4-5 dead and many wounded. Stay in ur fuckin hotel if you're here at BPM.”

He followed that tweet up with, “Apparently now more shots fired at another club in the area,” which is believed to be speaking about the closing party at The Jungle.
