Native Instruments release Massive X: Download it now

The long-awaited follow up to the legendary soft synth is now available...

Native Instruments have released the long-awaited follow up to their classic soft synth: Massive X. The new synth features a completely redesigned GUI and – much like the original – focusses heavily on modulation. With 170 wavetables and 10 oscillator modes, you can also use phase modulation oscillators for extra movement or even use an external input to modulate the sound in real time.

Elsewhere there are new filters and filter types, insert FX, stereo FX and a new complex Max/MSP-style routing system to send audio around the synth, as well as feed it back on itself. Suffice to say, there's a lot going on so the best thing to do is watch the video below and try the demo for yourself here.

NI also recently teased a new version of Traktor Pro that focusses on harmonic mixing, with new and updated mixed-in-key style features. Find out more about that here
