New 1500-capacity London venue announced as part of Secretsundaze Multi Multi Festival

A new 1500-capacity venue in London will debut at Secretsundaze Multi Multi Festival in July.

The open-air venue, The Garden at Hackney Bridge, is located in Hackney Wick is a canal-side green space that will be transformed into a new arena just in time for Multi Multi.

Speaking on the announcement, Secretsundaze's James Preisley said: “I’m super excited to add this new expansive outdoor space to Multi Multi this year. It’s never been used before in this way and we’ve been working closely with our partner Elar Sound to design a d&b Audiotechnik install that gives great coverage and clarity across this iconic canalside location.

“This harks back to the early days of Secretsundaze when we would unearth underused spaces and repurpose them for the dance. Secretsundaze is also hosting this new stage and showcasing acts from my soon to launch record label.”

Multi Multi Festival takes place on 13th July across 14 indoor and outdoor dance floors in Hackney Wick. Curated by Priestley, the event will showcase a diverse lineup of house, techno, disco, and more.

Confirmed acts include Tash LC, DJ Flight, IN2STELLAR, Heléna Star, Papa Nugs, and many others. Featured crews include Balearic London, Beirut Groove Collective, Lemon Lounge, Midnight Runner, and more.

Secretsundaze was founded in 2002 by DJ duo Giles Smith and James Priestley. Last year, they announced their decision to part ways, citing a desire for more creative and professional freedom. Following this announcement, Priestley took on full creative control of Secretsundaze, while Smith decided to pursue new creative endeavours.

In the following months, Priestley announced that the party series and label would release their debut EP as Spirit of Sundaze Ensemble, titled 'I'. The same year, Secretsundaze also announced a documentary celebrating 20 years of the label – watch it here.
