New 400-capacity club, Canvas, to open in London

Canvas will open on 29th February

Canvas is a new project by the team behind east London venues Oval Space and The Pickle Factory.

The club will open on 29th February, a Leap Day, with a party hosted by Percolate.

Eclair Fifi will play her first ever all night long set at the club, which is located right between Oval Space and The Pickle Factory, not far from Bethnal Green station.

In a post on Facebook, the Scottish DJ said, "It's a brand new venue right next to The Pickle Factory and I can't wait to share the space with you all, it's the perfect place to party."

The Canvas website explains how the new venue will be a multi-purpose space, "a network of venues that provide a platform for new ideas and projects, alongside carefully selected programming of music, art, community and workshop events."

Canvas will offer something for everyone, from cafe, to a late night bar, an exhibition space and a live music space too.

You can apply for a launch party invite by filling out the form on the Canvas website here

Glasgow institution for electronic music, The Art School, has gone into administration.

London venue Mick's Garage will stay open for the foreseeable future.
