A new app called Cove wants you to communicate your mood using the medium of music.
Developed by social tech company Humane Engineering, the app invites users to express their emotions using bleeps, bass and electronic melodies to create simple loops and riffs.
“You can use Cove to capture your mood or express how you really feel. [You can] create simple, beautiful music loops, save them to your journal or share with someone else,” says Humane Engineering. “It’s a platform to play with the building blocks of music, without the need to know what they are or what they do. Cove provides the freedom to simply create.”
Here's how it works: The app uses six "moods" as a jumping off-point on which users can then build. Users can play with a selection of pre-programmed sounds or create their own, to make an entire song to express their mood and share it with their pals. Totes emosh!
