Netflix has launched a new docuseries focusing on nightlife across six Asian cities.

The six-part series, titled 'Midnight Asia: Eat Dance Dream', explores the nightlife scenes in Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai, Bangkok, Taipei and Manila across its run, looking at key clubs and bars, as well as other aspects of the respective cities, such as food.

The first episode, in Tokyo, includes 88-year-old Sumiko Iwamuro, otherwise known as DJ Sumirock and recognised as the world's oldest professional DJ. Running a dumpling restaurant by day, she plays techno and other genres in Tokyo's clubs by night, as she revealed in an interview in 2017.

Summarising the new series, Netflix's description of the show reads: "Night brings out the most playful side of Asia's metropolis. This docuseries captures the food, drink, music – and the night owls who shine in the dark."

The series is available for streaming worldwide now on Netflix. Watch a trailer below.
