Gloves Off, a new open air venue, has opened this week in Hackney, East London. The free-entry zone will function as a sister venue to The Glove That Fits, and is described as a “bright new chapter” for the beloved local space.

Gloves Off will offer local creatives a new place to socialise and collaborate, while basking in sounds from local crews and selectors on a classic Funktion-One system.

The venue was soft-launched last Saturday by the popular queer party, Anal House Meltdown, and have shared a stacked schedule of events for the upcoming month. The space will have a focus on collaboration with local musicians and artists, with programming leaning towards downtempo club, ambient, and experimental music.

The Glove That Fits live venue and bar was launched in 2018 as a social and creative space for emerging musicians, artists, and audiences. It has since hosted hundreds of events, performances, and talks for the East London area.

Gloves Off will also feature an expanded drinks menu with cocktails and natural wines, as well as food pop-ups from local vendors.
