New Order have announced a vinyl reissue of ‘Substance 1987’, via Warner.

Originally dropped through Factory Records back in 1987, the first issue of ‘Substance’ combined all the band’s singles to that point in their 12” versions, including 'Bizarre Love Triangle', 'Temptation', 'True Faith' and highest-selling 12” single of all time, ‘Blue Monday’.

The newly remastered collection comes in a double vinyl album (blue/red colour), a double CD with B-sides, a double cassette, and an expanded 4CD collection.

The latter includes the original 2CD set remastered, along with two additional CDs – a collection of alternative versions and extra B-sides, and an unreleased concert recorded in 1987 at Irvine Meadows, California.

Alongside the reissue, New Order have also announced they will release reissues of the 12” singles ‘True Faith’, ‘True Faith Remix’, and ‘Blue Monday 88’.

The group are set to embark on a UK and EU arena tour later this month – kicking off at the Royal Arena, Copenhagen, on 21st September 2023 and concluding at the First Direct Arena, Leeds, on 7th October 2023.

The ‘Substance 1987’ collection is set to be released 10th November 2023. You can preorder a copy for yourself here.

Earlier this year, the band released a special range of merchandise to mark 40 years since the release of their classic track ‘Blue Monday’.

Back in March, New Order’s Bernard Summer was featured on the lead single of Mella Dee’s latest EP ‘Riptide’. You can listen to the track here
