New York club BASEMENT announces Beatrice, Lydo and Newa as first residents
The techno-focused club originally opened in 2019
New York club BASEMENT has enlisted three DJs to become the venue's first residents.
DJs Beatrice, Lydo and Newa will play regularly at the techno-focused venue which opened in 2019 behind the Knockdown Center in Queens and is situated inside what its owners described as an "industrial catacomb".
All three DJs have recorded mixes for BASEMENT to give people an insight into their respective takes on the techno sound that dominates the venue's programming. You can check out the mixes here.
Writing on social media, BASEMENT said new resident Lydo's "poise, focus and versatility have cemented their position as one of the most exciting talents in NY today," while Newa's mix is said to showcase "techno at its rushing, futuristic best". Beatrice's set, BASEMENT said, "lunges forward with explosive insistence".
