Nia Archives has shared a new single and video, 'So Tell Me...'. You can watch the clip below.

The track offers rolling beats, warm melodies and bass, while telling a narrative about two young lovers hanging out with separate friends in London. Reunited at the end of the night, they reflect on their relationship. The video, created by the artist and director Dan Emerson, helps convey this story with scenes shot in and around the East London areas Bradford-born Archives studied in and now calls home, namely Bow and Whitechapel.

“Directing with Dan was so much fun. There were so many great ideas and so much positive energy on set. When I sent him my initial moodboard and treatment of what I wanted to create, it was really important to me from the jump to be casting POC main characters in this story, as this is something we don’t usually get to see in this kind of music," said Archives.

"We also ended up casting non-actors to get a more natural chemistry: it’s a real couple who live together in real life and their friends, too. We aimed to push the boundaries of what a jungle video actually looks like, and I feel like we did just that, making a punky jungle video that references some of my favourite music videos ever including Massive Attack ‘Unfinished Symphony’, and Arctic Monkeys ‘When The Sun Goes Down," she continued.

In addition to the single, Archives has a new party series, Up Ya Archives, with three dates confirmed in the coming months. She fits hits The White Hotel, Manchester on 30th November, then Unit 48, London on 2nd and 3rd December, closing out a breakthrough year for the woman in question, with BBC Introducing awarding her Artist of the Year (the first time an electronic act has been honoured with the title), and MOBO including her in nominations for Best Newcomer and the recently added category, Best Electronic/Dance Act.
