Nia Archives shares video for new single, ‘Luv Like’: Watch

Rapidly rising jungle and drum & bass DJ, producer, and vocalist Nia Archives has dropped her new single, 'Luv Like'.

The track is the third to be taken from her forthcoming EP, 'Forbidden Feelingz', which lands on 10th March, and which follows her landmark 2021 EP, 'Headz Gone West'. The single combines raw percussion, sun-kissed melodies, and serious subject matter — in this case, struggles with body dysmorphia.

“Although at first listen this track sounds like a typical love song, for me when creating it I was writing about my personal struggle with body dysmorphia. Throughout the track, I am pondering how someone could love someone through their highs and lows, loving freely, flaws 'n all," Nia said. "I am also talking about learning to accept love whilst ultimately dealing with a warped perception of self and distorted self image.”

The tune has an accompanying video, which was shot in Manchester, UK, a city the Bradford-born, London-based artist has a close affinity to after spending years living there while gaining a footing in the thriving local bass scene.

”What a special project this was. Going to Manchester for the first time, capturing the vibes and energy. Nia was our tour guide, she was taking us to places that had a special sentimental value to her," said Delphino Productions, the director-duo behind the clip. "We wanted to capture the softness and roughness of this feeling through the shots we took and editing decisions we made. This is our 4th project with Nia... We're building a legacy. Who knows, we might even make a movie together one day."
