Octo Octa announces new EP, 'Dreams Of A Dancefloor', on T4T LUV NRG
The record will be released in September
Octo Octa is releasing a new EP through T4T LUV NRG, the label she runs together with Eris Drew.
Spanning three tracks, 'Dreams Of A Dancefloor' marks the US DJ and producer's first appearance on T4T LUV NRG with her own music since 2021's 'She's Calling' EP. She's also put out two mixtapes and an album through the label in the past, including 2022's 'Love Hypnosis Vol.2' and 2021's 'Resonant Body'.
The tracks that appear on 'Dreams Of The Dancefloor' were produced over a three-year period, and combine elements of house, trance, breakbeat and acid house. The EP explores Octo Octa's belief that "the dancefloor experience can be not only exciting and ecstatic, but also deeply moving and generative—a reminder that underground dance culture offers permission for connections unsanctioned in the dominant society."
Artwork for the EP was designed by Q, and depicts a speaker, turntable and record shelf decorated with flowers and other colourful ornamental objects. You can listen to snippets of all three tracks on the EP ahead of its 15th September release below, and pre-order it here.
Octo Octa will join up with Eris Drew to curate and host their Forest Rave stage at September's Draaimolen festival in Tilburg.
