Omar Souleyman announces new album, ‘Shlon’: Listen

The album takes its title from the Arabic word for 'how'

Omar Souleyman's next album will be released through Diplo's Mad Decent label.

Titled 'Shlon', the album takes its title from the Arabic word for 'how' or, more literally, 'which colour'. A press release announcing the record explains that it takes in six "techno-meets-dabke songs of romance and love to the world".

Souleyman will play live this Friday, October 18th during ADE for a Life & Death event as part of a lineup that also includes Red Axes, Axel Boman, DJ Seinfeld and Mor Elian. He will also follow the album's release with UK shows next February at London's EartH (6th) and Cambridge venue The Junction (7th).

Mad Decent will release 'Shlon' on November 22nd. Lead track 'Layle' is out now and can be heard below.

The label recently released a new track from Major Lazer featuring J Balvin and El Alfa. Diplo also revealed over the summer that he's starting a house music label.
