Output Sounds have released a new instrument called Analog Brass and Wind. While brass and wind instruments may not be the most exciting when it comes to forward-thinking sound design, with Output’s reputation for pushing the envelope, we expect Analog Brass and Wind to go beyond the usual orchestral library offerings.
Using the four macros that are unique to each preset, you can twist and contort sounds for everything from Blade Runner synth brass to realistic symphonic orchestra tones. Rhythm sections allow you to create arpeggios and gated rhythms for more club-based sequences. It’s available now for €199 and you can try the sampler for 14 days free of charge. If you're on the lookout for more samples, NI's new Sounds.com is an unlimited source of sounds for $9.99 a month. If you're more interested in the synth side of things, the Blade Runner synth Yamaha CS-80 is part of Arturia's V Collection, recently upgraded to version 6.
