PAN to release debut album from Beatrice Dillon, ‘Workaround’, shares single: Listen

The album features contributions from Laurel Halo, Batu and more

Beatrice Dillon is set to release her debut album via PAN early next year.

Titled 'Workaround', Dillon produced the album in studios between London, Berlin and New York. Across the record's 14 tracks, Dillon draws on the UK club music and Afro-Caribbean sounds that frequently feature in her DJ sets.

The album takes in samples, guest vocals and other contributions from the likes of Laurel Halo, Batu, Untold, UK bhangra artist and tabla player Kuljit Bhamra, cellist Lucy Railton and Jonny Lam, guitarist of the Pharoah Sanders Band, amongst others.

Dillon also took influence from religious philosopher James P. Carse's book 'Finite And Infinite Games', abstract drawings by Tomma Abts and Jorinde Voigt, and painter Bridget Riley's essays on grids and colour.

PAN will release 'Workaround' on February 7th, 2020. You can hear the lead track from the album, 'Workaround Two', below.

Late last year, Beatrice Dillon helped RVNG Intl. celebrate 15 years as a label with a genre-spanning mix of music from across its back catalogue.
