EDC NEW YORK 2017 CANCELLED

Sorry, NYC...

EDC has announced the cancellation of its New York festival in 2017. Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac Events that hosts EDC internationally, revealed the news. The festival launched their New York edition in 2012.

In an official statement made on the Insomniac website, Rotella said, “Although EDC New York 2016 was one of my favourites hosted in the Big Apple, we’ve decided to take a break in 2017. We hope many of you East Coast Headliners will join us in Vegas. We’ll have an art car sound system paying homage to New York DJs past and present.”

Despite that announcement, Rotella goes on to share some good news. EDC Las Vegas will receive a “reimagined kineticFIELD” along with a completely new stage. Additionally, EDC Japan is headed to Tokyo next spring. Speaking about EDC Japan, Rotella added, “We’ve got a great venue picked out, and our circuitGROUNDS stage will actually be right on the beach! I’ll be sharing more details on that this coming week.”

Last month, EDC Las Vegas revealed that it is set to return in 2017, with the three-day festival running from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Electric Daisy Carnival Mexico also recently announced a star-studded line-up for its 2017 event, topped by the likes of Diplo's Major Lazer outfit, two-time Top 100 DJs winner Hardwell and Marshmello.
